These images are from an Amsterdam homeware and pop up concept store named 'The Loft'. The Loft is a stunning Amsterdam apartment in which everything is for sale, if you can touch it, you can take it home. What I love the most, other than the impeccable design, is the intimate environment that is designed to evoke the feeling of a real home rather that a retail showroom. I'm a big fan of this style of merchandising, giving inspiration for those struggling with an interiors puzzle.
Their style fits in perfectly with my love for natural materials and I'm intrigued to see whether this concept picks up in the UK. I for one, would happily spend my Saturdays strolling around what seems to be a 'show home' yet everything I love and touch, I can buy.
The Loft is designed by 'The Playing Circle' who have fast become one of my favourite design offices. They quote themselves that they are 'not about inspiring places, but about inspiring people'. I love that.
Oh my gosh, it's all too much, someone take me there, please!
