You would have probably guessed I'm a sucker for clothes if you have followed this blog at all. I'll be honest with you, these last few months have been pretty tight financially for DB & I, which has meant that I've not been able to buy any clothes (struggle is real). This is mainly because I have expensive taste. As mentioned before I'm a sucker for a key item, but that key item has to be wearable with multiple outfits . I'm not finished with "one-off" pieces but I'm more of an everyday" kinda girl. And so, I have slowly ventured into the world of sewing (albeit pretty basic).
I'm a pro at sewing cushions and throws, but fashion is a whole new ball game for me. Pattern-less and eager to start I came across Cloth House (which is conveniently just down the road from my office). If you love fabric and fashion - you HAVE to head to Berwick Street, and in particular Cloth House. It is a dream, my new heaven. They have all kinds of fabrics, from plastic to cotton, leatherette to silk and the staff are incredibly helpful.
I've run in a number of times, buying a metre here and a metre there. I'm a bit of a pro at making tops right now and am about to venture into dresses! I'm not going to share too much right now, but keep an eye out on the instagram page and this blog for my "made by me" designs, coming soon.
